I’m driven by a simple fact: everything can be improved. As human beings, we’re constantly moving from point A to point B, until we get comfortable, accepting things as they are instead of seeking the better, easier, simpler way forward. That’s the death of an innovator’s mind.

At DTEK.AI, I led the full end-to-end design for SWIFT, an AI-powered self-checkout kiosk integrating machine learning and computer vision to replicate natural in-store shopping behavior without the need for scanning or staff interaction. My role spanned from shaping the kiosk’s form factor for accessibility to crafting the complete UX, from product detection and confirmation to payment flows and error handling. I conducted field research across the UAE to study user behavior and benchmark global competitors, enabling us to shorten trial timelines and refine the product for real-world deployment. SWIFT was successfully launched in ADNOC HQ and multiple branches, achieving over three transactions per minute and significantly reducing basket abandonment rates.

At Domil.io, I owned the design lifecycle for multiple key projects across retail and F&B, from early concept to QA and launch. This included the full flow of Jeanswest PWA, a unified shopping and loyalty platform with a custom rewards system, plus its supporting website and a dedicated café menu web app for Balcafe. My most notable project, STS (Saving Time Service), was a phygital ordering solution rolled out to over 64 Jeanswest stores. It solved branch-level stock unavailability by integrating with the PWA and adding gamification, boosting customer engagement to the point where many chose to shop online from inside the store for home delivery. These projects combined to create a connected ecosystem, bridging offline and online experiences while strengthening brand loyalty and operational efficiency.
